Diversity of Chess Players
Meet Sherwin Chan, an MBA students at Northern illinois University. He has been coming to the St Matthew’s chess tournament for the last 2 years because, “I know when I play at these tournaments my entry fees are helping some charity”. The chess program started by Rishi Sethi 11 years ago was founded on a mission to combine chess education with service and philanthropy. This continues to thrive today. Over $60,000 has been donated to worldwide humanitarian programs.
